Both Its Website and the Castro Podcast App Are Unavailable

The popular iOS podcasts app Castro has been unavailable since Friday, and a month after its developers refuted reports that the app was closing down, its website has vanished. 

On Friday, users began complaining that they couldn't access Castro's website or download new episodes.

Many who are unable to access crucial parts of the software have been replying to a Friday Reddit thread, and new reviews from the iOS software Store reflect this as well.

Since at least November, when the app was offline for many days due to a database issue that proved to be more difficult than the developers had anticipated, the app has been clearly struggling. 

Castro was able to resume operations despite reports from several blogs and publications that same month that it would soon shut down.
