Global Access to Instagram's Publicly Posted Reels Download
Earlier this year, Instagram began offering users in the US the option to download Reels posted by public accounts.
The functionality is currently being rolled out to users worldwide, according to the business.
Previously, reels on public profiles could be shared by Instagram users straight to their Stories or Direct Messages.
Additionally, people can store those Reels, which they may see via the application's saved Reels tabs.
However, they will now be able to share downloaded Reels across other platforms as well, thanks to the new functionality.
Instagram feature to download publicly posted reels is now available
Remarkably, users may disable Reels downloads from even public accounts. If this is done, users will not be able to save Reels from such accounts to their galleries.
Users can still save those reels for subsequent viewing. To save the relevant reel and retrieve it via the Saved tab, simply hit the three dots.
On the other hand, if a public account allows you to save Reels, you may use this method to save them to your camera roll.
First, hit the Share button on the Reel you want to download, then select the Download option.
Alternatively, you may go to Profile > Settings & Privacy > Sharing and Remixes > Downloading your Reels and toggle off the download button if you have a public account and want to disable the default download option for your reels.
