With its TV app, which is now available to users on Google TV, YouTube is rolling out a new look for playlists and watch history.

A new look for the "Library" tab of the YouTube app is rolling out to Google TV and Android TV, albeit probably not to all users. It adds color to a few important areas of the interface.

YouTube displays shortcuts to your playlists, videos, history, TV episodes & movies, and music along a new top row.

A horizontally scrolling display of your watch history, any Primetime Channels to which you may be subscribing, and lists for your favored videos, playlists, and Watch Later come next to the new shortcuts.

However, each button at the top of the user interface will display the required material in a fullscreen interface. In terms of the app, there hasn't been much of a redesign, but it is now a lot clearer and simpler.

While Google recently updated YouTube's Library tab on mobile applications as the "You" tab, it appears that this TV change may be connected to the company's ambitions for this page.

Google's plans for the "Library" tab are still mostly unclear.
