Meta to discontinue sharing Threads posts on Facebook & Insta

It's rumored that Meta is developing a privacy feature allowing Threads users to opt out of having their postings published automatically on Facebook and Instagram. 

This move is a direct reaction to the unfavorable comments made by Threads users who thought the company's aggressive cross-promotional tactics were intrusive.

Reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi recently discovered this new feature. 

It is expected to provide users the option to opt out if they do not want their Threads postings to appear on their Facebook and Instagram feeds.

This is the result of Meta's recent efforts to boost Threads' growth by advertising Threads content on users' Facebook timelines. 

However, this strategy was met with criticism from users who use Threads differently than Facebook and were not happy about their postings on Threads being shared with their Facebook connections.
