Instagram Reels Beats Facebook & TikTok for Branded Video Content
Instagram Reels, which are meant to resemble the longer-form TikTok videos that stay on artists' feeds, take a lot longer to make than Stories, which are shorter-form movies that vanish from feeds after a day.
Emplifi's CMO Zarnaz Arlia suggests that it would be beneficial for marketers to use more Reels and longer-form videos in their social media marketing strategies for 2024.
Instagram Reels outperforms TikTok, Facebook for branded video content
The basic idea here, according to a statement from Arlia, is that there is unrealized potential for marketers who are prepared to integrate Reels into their social media campaigns and delve further into their Instagram video strategy.
"Based on the data, viewers are enjoying longer videos. The secret is to create engaging content that will keep viewers watching."
Watching social videos is the social media content style that users spend the most time on, stated Insider Intelligence.
Watching social videos accounted for over half (56%) of the time that American adults spend on social media platforms on average.
That is a rise of 15% throughout the previous three years.
