YouTube has introduced some updates to its BrandConnect creator monetization path, as well as some new Community Posts in its most recent feature update.

But first and foremost, YouTube has offered an update on the transfer of all videos under three minutes in duration to Shorts to produce more Shorts content.

Back in October, YouTube stated that all videos under three minutes in duration would be reclassified as Shorts and categorized as such in the system.

After receiving multiple questions from creators, YouTube emphasized that this would only apply to new uploads and would not be applied retrospectively to older clips.

And now, after a gradual roll out in each region, YouTube says that it has completed this process.

YouTube has also updated its quiz option for Community Posts, allowing creators to include images in their quiz questions.

The platform launched quizzes for Community Posts in 2022, and this change will make them more interesting, perhaps leading to greater interaction among your Page's fans.

YouTube is also introducing additional text style choices to the post composer, as well as a "Dream Screen" for posts, which allows users to produce new visuals based on a suggestion they enter.

Lastly, YouTube is making it easier for creators to use its BrandConnect offering, which connects brands with creators to create content collaborations.

BrandConnect, released by YouTube in 2020 (renamed from "FameBit"), alerts creators to potential branded content collaboration possibilities and allows them to pitch brands with their ideas, facilitating creator monetization pathways.

BrandConnect will now be available from within YouTube Studio.
