Recently, Google is reported rolling out the new and updated video editor on their Google Photos Android App. In February, this new video editing suite was released on Google Photos for iOS.

Include more than 30 advanced editing controls

Like Google announced back in February this year, the latest version of Google Photos’ video editing tools includes more than 30 controls, making it more powerful than ever.

The new editing controls cover everything from filters, cropping, to color grading options. It’s no surprise that the new video editor on Google Photos is a lot more powerful than the older version which supported only basic controls like rotating, trimming, and stabilizing.

To be more specific, the new video editing suite has extensive cropping options, horizon correction, individual frame exports, together with audio removal to the mix, according to Android Police.

There is also support for color correction with many options, including warmth, white point, contrast, brightness, vignette, tint, and so on. The filters that you know from Google Photos’ image editing tool can be also found here. Besides, users can mark up a video if they want.

Despite including new more features, Google Photos’ video editing tool still doesn’t let users combine clips and create short movies on the phone like in Apple’s iMovie video editor.

Well, there are, of course, many other video editing software or video editing apps out there if you want more video editing controls. However, it’s so good to get more options right in Google Photos, especially for those who don’t find professional editing tools necessary.
